Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Re: TDIH, so was anyone at this show?

Giant stadium was built in 1976 I believe, so no it's not a fair comparison, however I was spoiled as I had season tickets to the Giants for 10 years (81-91).

My first Dead show that I went to (but did not get in) was at the Spectrum in spring 1986. The talk at that time was the return of Box of Rain which meant nothing to me back then. Well, the cops on those horses prevented us from doing anything too stupid, so we hopped the fence and walked around JFK. I remember going up in that big tower and thinking of how big this place was. We may have been the only people in the entire stadium, so I'll never forget that.

As for SDH's comments, just going to the bathroom there was like walking through a river. It was disgusting! I seem to remember the whole stadium would shake at times when the crowd got excited.
